JESPER CHRISTIANSEN
On these pages you can read about the services of ALTNET.dk aka Jesper Christiansen. The headline is an excellent illustration of some of the key principles upon which my work is founded:
‣Focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want. This will help you to examine possible solutions.
‣“Problem talk creates problems. Solution talk creates solutions” - this quote from Steve de Shazer says it all in my opinion. If we focus on what doesn’t work, we will only see the effects of things that don’t work rather than exploring the possibilities for what we would like to see happen.
‣Change comes from within! Only you, your team or your organisation can bring about change. You are the experts and the ones who know best what works!
‣If it works do more of it. If not try something else. Examining what works for you and what makes it work is examining resources you already posses. Trying something new is to look for new resources and competences to explore, incoporate or achieve.
These approaches are adapted from Solution Focus methodology - originally based on Solution Focused Brief Therapy as developed by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg.
I also get a lot of inspiration from my participation in the network SOL - Solutions in Organisations Linkup.
Focus on where you want to go
- instead of what you want to get away from!
- is the blog of the coaching course I am
attending right now at SolutionSurfers.
I’ve set up the blog to share ideas and
experiences amongst the team.
“A conflict is missing coordination between good intentions.”
