Helping You Find Success With Personalized Coaching

Feel Like It’s Time to Make a Change, But Can’t Seem to Find a Way?

Coaching is helpful when you are looking for a change but have yet to see an attractive way how to make that change happen.

Solution-Focused Coaching is about creating that change you want to see happening and exploring what makes that particular change attractive to you.

As we are all different and tackle our challenges differently, coaching with the Solution Focused Approach focuses on how you best solve your challenges.

The characteristic of coaching with SF is that there is always a strong focus on the following:

  • What do you want to achieve?
  • What difference will it make if you achieve it?
  • What are you already doing well in that direction?
  • When things don’t go according to your wishes, how do you learn from them and turn them into a resource?

By focusing on where you want to go and the attractiveness of that rather than focusing on all that’s wrong, we make the best use of our time together.

This is where you find many personal resources and discover meaningful opportunities to get where you want to be.

What Is Coaching?

What is Coaching

International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as: “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.”

As a Professional Certified Coach accredited by ICF, I have learned the essential core competencies for being a coach: asking powerful questions, active listening, and partnering with my client, amongst other competencies.

What is Solution-Focused Coaching?

Ethics

Both as a trained Solution Focused Coach and accredited Professional Certified Coach, I am obliged to follow high ethical standards.

That means a coaching session will always be treated as a confidential conversation. I will only keep the session documentation you agree to. You can read more about my coaching ethics here.

My Approach

Solution-Focused Coaching focuses on helping individuals or groups identify and achieve their goals by emphasising solutions rather than problems.
It is a future-focused approach that encourages clients to think about what they want to achieve rather than dwelling on what is not working.

I partner with my clients to identify their current strengths and resources and to develop a clear vision of their desired future.
I can help you identify specific, measurable, achievable goals and develop the next specific steps to achieve them.

Solution-Focused Coaching is based on the principle that clients are the experts of their own lives and can find solutions to their problems. It is suitable for many clients, including individuals, organisations and teams.

Since I discovered the Solution Focused approach in 2005, it has become my core competence when I coach, facilitate, teach and supervise.

I find it a very powerful approach that helps you to focus on what you want to change rather than what is causing the problem. It is a positive, forward-looking approach that allows you to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to achieve your goals.

Whether I am coaching you, working with a team, supervising or facilitating large group processes, I use this resource-oriented approach.

A Single Coaching Session

If you need a session to get started and then see if more should come, you can choose a 30 or a 60 minutes coaching session. Maybe you want a quick reflection round on a specific topic to “get on with it”.

Still Have Questions?

Ethical Guidelines

I want to help raise the standard of coaching through ICF’s high ethical guidelines.

Through my practice, I will help to ensure coaching a solid reputation as a respected, professional and constantly in-demand discipline everywhere in the private and business world.

I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and have committed to complying with the ICF’s ethical guidelines for coaching.

Excerpts from the main ethical guidelines I follow

  • As a professional coach, I recognize and maintain my ethical obligations to my clients and colleagues and to the outside world in general.
  • If I violate any of the ICF’s ethical guidelines, I agree that the ICF may hold me responsible for this, which could cause me to lose my membership of the ICF and my ICF certification.
  • I will try my best to be aware of my level of competence as a coach, and will not exaggerate my qualifications, my expertise or my experience as a coach.
  • At the beginning of any coaching collaboration, I want to make sure that my coaching client and client understand the terms of our coaching agreement.
  • I will not suggest or claim that the client can achieve results I can not guarantee.
  • I will respect the client’s right to confidentiality and discretion. The client must give permission for the disclosure of information.
  • I will be aware when my client no longer benefits from our coaching relationship and if I sense the client will be able to get a better service from another coach or another resource. In that case, I would encourage my client to make such a change.
